Southdown Eagles yesterday won the East Grinstead Junior Netball League after defeating Southdown Penguins in their final match of the season.
In a match that Eagles had to win, they had a nervy start and went a goal down to Penguins early on. The match was a tight affair thoughout and some resiliant defending from Penguins made eagles task far from easy. Eventually the more experienced Eagles took control and run out 10 - 4 winers.
It was indeed a spiritrd effort from Penguins and they made eagles work very hard for their victory.
This success means that Southdown Netball Club have won the East Grinstead Junior Netball League for the last 3 years.
