Stingray take the shine out of Emeralds

Southdown Stingray had a convincing win over CD Phoenix Emeralds on Saturday by 27 - 18.
In a match that Stingray were desperate to win after losing 3 players to Emeralds at the end of last season, they got off to a nervy start but managed to get their heads in front at the end of the 1st quarter. The 2nd quarter, Stingray dominated, scoring 12 goals and restricting Emeralds to 1 to build up what proved to be an unassailable lead.
However, complacency set in and Stingray allowed Emeralds to edge quaters 3 and 4 but not enough to make a difference.
The game was played in good spirits and all friendships were renewed at the end of the game.
