Southdown Netball Club

Welcome to the Southdown Netball Club website.

Southdown was formed in May 2004 by Tracey and Mark Dollemore. Their aim was to provide girls with regular coaching and to play competitive netball in the local junior leagues. Back in 2004 the club had 3 junior teams comprising of 30 members.

How times have changed. 5 years later Southdown now has 7 junior teams ranging from U10 to U14 and 3 senior teams with a membership of approximately 85 players.

The Southdown policy has always been to keep girls playing regular netball whatever their ability in a fun and friendly environment.

Our coaches also encourage feedback from the players to help develop their skills and knowledge of the game.

Our U10 and U11 teams play in the East Grinstead High 5 Netball League which is played on Saturday mornings between September and March.

The U12, U13 and U14 teams compete in the Sussex Junior Netball League between September and December followed by the Sussex Cup and Plate competition between January and April.

Our senior teams play in the East Grinstead Senior Netball League (Summer and Winter).

Training session take place every Tuesday evening (term times) at our home the G4S Netball Centre in East Grinstead.
